- What makes us unique!
Our Redeemer Nursery School program teaches children about the world around us and who made it. The children learn not only that God made the world and everything in it, but also God sent His Son Jesus to redeem the world. We teach weekly themes involving the earth, space, animals, people, feelings, etc. as well as monthly biblical themes such as Creation, Noah’s Ark, Moses, Zacchius, and Jesus’ parables. Opening, closing, and snack prayers are part of our daily program. Our pastor teaches a weekly lesson coordinating with our themes. We believe God should be a part of our daily lives and we must always remember it is Jesus who makes us the unique children of God.

- Come learn with us!
- For many children, preschool is a child’s first experience outside the family setting. We want your child to be in a safe, Christian, and happy environment. We keep families involved through a weekly newsletter, monthly calendar, and yearly theme calendar. We have various family activities planned such as a Christmas Service , a Harvest party, a valentines breakfast, open houses, etc. We also keep track of your child’s progress though a bi-yearly progress report with optional conferences. Parents are always invited to visit the classroom, chaperone field trips or come during visitor days when fireman and other community helpers come to teach the children.
- Our Learning Areas
- We feel Children learn best through play. The following is a list of free time center areas the children can play and learn in daily.
- Block area: Wood blocks, plastic building blocks, cars, trains, people figures, animal figures, dollhouse, and other imaginative props to build creativity.
- Library: A quiet area for children to look at books about the weekly themes or fun children’s picture books. A puppet theater is also part of this area.
- Dramatic Play Area: Dress up clothes, dolls, play kitchen, washer and dryer. The center may be a store one week and a veterinarian’s office the next.
- Sensory Area: Sand table, water, play dough, bubbles, corn kernels, shaving cream, and other messy and fun stuff!
- Art: We have daily organized art projects that are based on our weekly theme. We also have a free art area with scissors, colored paper, markers, glue, sequins, etc. that children can use and explore at any time.
- Manipulatives: We have a variety of learning games to practice shapes, colors, matching, letter recognition, and opposites etc. We also have many buckets of toys including tools, cars, snowflake blocks, etc.
- Writing Area: We allow children to practice writing letters, numbers, their names or simply drawing at any time during the day.
- Outside/Gross Motor: We have outside slides, climbing equipment, and a play house. We use balls, balance beams, rings games, and bean bags to keep things interesting. We bring out some additional toys such as play food and play trucks.
